![]() ![]() I honestly stopped reading the book and deleted it from my Kindle when the principal called Kyle and Brad "filth" in the third part of the book. While this book has a really great character who I actually really liked more than the main character (Brad, if you're curious), the book has basically every cliché you can possibly associate with the gay high school genre. Review 2: Minor spoilers for the latter part of the book, ye have been warned, etc etc. The writing itself is good enough but not outstanding captivating. ![]() I’ve found the “two steps forward and one step back” routine boring and both. But hey, everybody is so passionate about this one, what could go wrong?Okay, maybe I had to high expectations but after reading this book I still don’t get it, why do people love them so much? The book dealt with a lot of internal musings, flashbacks and insecurities and felt repetitive after a while. So ….finally, with two weeks of vacation time, I started to read it.I admit, college/school trope isn’t my favorite, I’ve read already so many of them. ![]() ![]() On the other hand this series popped up on my newsfeed so many times in the last months and everybody of my booksfriends loved it. Review 1: I’ve been reluctant to read this book because it’s a series and I just hadn’t had the time for that. ![]()
